AIM's Family Support Navigator Program will host a twice-monthly group on anger management for people in recovery from substance use and mental health disorders.

Participants will be guided through a workbook that is provided from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and an anger management-focused treatment group. This group provides a 12-week anger management treatment with a summary of core concepts, worksheets, and between-week challenges. Concepts and skills are provided through practice and review and are tailored to individual anger caused by substance use and mental health.

This group is hosted by Nick Moffe, AIM's Director of Peer Supports. It will meet from 5-6 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, beginning Feb. 8, at the Elmira AIM office, 350 West Church Street, Elmira. The group can also be joined online via Zoom. Please contact Moffe in advance at (607) 962-8225, ext. 230 to register.
