The ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act, was signed into legislation in 1990 to protect the civil rights of people with disabilities. Far reaching in its scope, the ADA covers a variety of topics banning discrimination based on disability in employment, state and local government agencies, public transportation, businesses or services operated by private entities, and telecommunications. AIM is committed to helping you, your employees and your associates become more responsive to ADA laws and more aware of disability rights.

By appointment, AIM staff will visit your place of business for a low cost fee to conduct a partial or full review of your facility and give you a comprehensive evaluation with recommended modifications on ways to improve your facility's accessibility. Their goal is to help you create a business or work environment that is "user friendly" for people with disabilities. Increased accessibility for individuals with disabilities means more people will have access to your goods and services creating an increase in your customer market.

AIM also offers information sharing on issues pertaining to the Act, such as disability rights in the areas of employment, transportation, telecommunications and business accessibility.
