Elmira presentation will focus on special-needs planning

ELMIRA | An attorney who specializes in special-needs planning will speak at AIM Independent Living Center’s parent support group meeting May 19 in Elmira.

The focus of Adrienne Arkontaky’s presentation will be planning for the future for families of individuals with developmental disabilities. Specifically, the White Plains-based attorney will address:

  • Letters of intent and personal journals

  • Guardianship

  • Advance directives

  • Special-needs trusts

  • Estate planning

At the end of the presentation, Arkontaky will take questions from the audience.

The presentation, which is free of charge, will be held from 6-8 p.m. May 19 in Room 111 of the Economic Opportunity Program building, 650 Baldwin St., Elmira.
