AIM's third annual STRIDES walk is Oct. 11

Aug. 28, 2014

CORNING | AIM Independent Living Center’s third annual STRIDES for Independence Walk to promote disability awareness will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 11 at Denison Park in Corning.

In addition to a mile walk, the event will feature a chicken barbecue lunch from Stearns and music from the Sam Pallet Band.

AIM uses the proceeds of the walk to support its programming. It also reinvests some of money directly into the community: AIM awards a $500 grant to a community project that enhances the lives of individuals with disabilities. The grant will be awarded at STRIDES.

To register for the event online, visit aimcil.com and click the STRIDES link. A downloadable registration form is also available online. Registration forms can also be picked up at our main office.

The fee is $20. Please register by Sept. 26. Day-of registrations will be accepted, but those who register after Sept. 26 will only receive a T-shirt and lunch while supplies last.
